Yarn School: Select & Substitute Yarns!

Have you ever wandered into a yarn store and had no idea where to start? Do yarn suggestions in patterns confuse you? Wondering how to use up that stash that's taking over your home? 

Look no further than this course! 

This workshop will take you through the basics (and not-so-basics) of most fibers and compositions of yarn. Learn how to choose the perfect yarn for your needs and project, every time.  

Keish will also cover how blends affect yarn choice, how choosing the right type ply can help your overall knits, and how to identify that mystery skein that's rolling around in the back of your stash! 

What you need to know: Students should be comfortable with some basic knitting terminology, but nothing more! This class is perfect for beginners or knitters who want to deepen their yarn knowledge. 

Required materials: 

• Something to take notes with - a pencil and paper or otherwise
• Optional: a skein of mystery yarn from your stash for our class activity! 

What you'll get: 

• One 2 hour class session with expert instruction by Keish.
