The Shift by Andrea Mowry was designed as a answer for knitters who want to create colorful, addictive knits and love working up shawls but have trouble styling them.
The Shift is perfect for year round wear, and the mosaic stitch creates beautiful texture and color that will liven up any outfit. It works up surprisingly quickly and creates a stylish, easy to wear, multi-season accessory. This is the perfect use for three very special skeins that you've been dreaming of working up.
What you need to know and be comfortable completing without help from the instructor (or you're willing to learn before this class): Knit, purl
What you'll learn in this class: Mosaic knitting, i-cord edging, mattress stitch
Required Materials:

Yarn: Sport weight yarn in three different but coordinating colors
- A: 200 yds
- B: 200 yds
- C: 200 yds
Recommended yarns from the shop: Spincycle Dyed in the Wool, Marla, Sami
Needles:
- US 5 24" circular needle
Notions: Stitch markers, row counter, tapestry needle, scissors

- The Shift pattern (PDF via email & in your Ravelry library)

Class Policies
- All class fees are non-refundable. If you have a conflict, you must notify us 48 hours before the start date of your first class in order to receive store credit. We will always do our best to help you reschedule, but it may not always be possible.
- Our group classes are for students ages 12 and up. Younger students are welcome to join us for private lessons. We highly recommend a parent or guardian be present for the duration of the lesson.
- No store credit will be issued for unattended classes and no store credit will be issued for cancellations made within 48 hours of the start date of the first class.
- We put the health and safety of all our staff and community members first. If you have been exposed to Covid or you are otherwise feeling unwell, we ask that you please stay home.
- We have a class minimum of 3 students, so it’s never a bad idea to sign up with a friend or two! If you are the only student that signs up for one of our classes, we will contact you ahead of time and issue a full refund if there is a cancellation on our part.
- We understand that sometimes students need some extra help outside of class, so we offer Project Support and Private Lessons.
- For our students to get personalized attention, we like to keep our class sizes small. For this reason, we require students to sign up in advance for all of our classes, lessons, and project support sessions.
