THREE Wednesdays from 6-8pm on the following dates: Sept 30th, Oct 14th, Nov 4th 

Tackle two big knitting skills in one sweet, multi-seasons knit with the Eloise Bandana by Katryn Seeburger! This project is perfect for learning the ever dreaded (though not actually very scary!) flat colorwork.

The pattern also includes notes for catching your floats to create a pretty backside to this structured accessory. Pick from over 30 charts to make this project your own! 

What you need to know and be comfortable completing without help from the instructor (or you're willing to learn before this class): How to knit and purl flat, some experience with colorwork knitting

Required Materials: 

We hope you'll consider supporting us by purchasing your materials at Knit 1! 

Yarn: 2 colors of fingering weight yarn. We would highly suggest using non-superwash yarn for this project as the grip will help you better learn appropriate tension for flat colorwork

  • C1: 172 to 250 yards (depending on size)
  • C2: 172 to 250 yards (depending on size)

Recommended yarns from the shop include: BC Garn Bio Balance, Lamana Como, Rosarios 4 Piopardo, Cascade Heritage 

Needles: US 3 32" (or longer) circular needle  

Notions: tapestry needle, scissors, removable stitch markers

Class Policies

  • All class fees are non-refundable. If you have a conflict, you must notify us 7 days before the start date of your first class in order to receive store credit. We will always do our best to help you reschedule, but it may not always be possible.
  • Our group classes and private lessons are designed for adults ages 18 and up. 
  • No store credit will be issued for unattended classes and no store credit will be issued for cancellations made within 7 days of the start date of the first class.
  • We put the health and safety of all our staff and community members first. If you have been exposed to Covid or you are otherwise feeling unwell, we ask that you please stay home.
  • We have a class minimum of 3 students, so it’s never a bad idea to sign up with a friend or two! If you are the only student that signs up for one of our classes, we will contact you ahead of time and issue a full refund if there is a cancellation on our part.
  • We understand that sometimes students need some extra help outside of class, so we offer Project Support and Private Lessons. 
  • For our students to get personalized attention, we like to keep our class sizes small. For this reason, we require students to sign up in advance for all of our classes, lessons, and project support sessions.
