THREE Mondays from 6-8pm on the following dates: Sept 21st, Oct 12th, Nov 2nd
Knit the Badger Creek mittens by tincanknits up for yourself, or as a cherished gift for a loved one. This pattern works up quickly but stays engaging so there won’t be any second-mitt syndrome.
Each mitten is worked bottom up and cables are charted. The pattern includes sizes from toddler to an adult large - knit up a comfy pair for each member of the family!
What you need to know and be comfortable completing without help from the instructor (or you're willing to learn before this class): Knit, purl, knitting in the round, knitting small circumference, basics of knitting cables
What you'll learn in this class: How to knit a bottom up mitten, how to read a cable chart, basics of knitting cables
Required Materials:

Yarn: 125 to 300 yards of DK weight or light worsted yarn
Recommended yarns from the shop include: Cascade Merino DK, Sandnes Garn Double Sunday
Needles:
- US 3 DPNs or your preferred format for knitting small circumference
- US 5 DPNs or your preferred format for knitting small circumference
Notions: stitch markers, waste yarn or barber cord, cable needle, tapestry needle, scissors

Class Policies
- All class fees are non-refundable. If you have a conflict, you must notify us 7 days before the start date of your first class in order to receive store credit. We will always do our best to help you reschedule, but it may not always be possible.
- Our group classes and private lessons are designed for adults ages 18 and up.
- No store credit will be issued for unattended classes and no store credit will be issued for cancellations made within 7 days of the start date of the first class.
- We put the health and safety of all our staff and community members first. If you have been exposed to Covid or you are otherwise feeling unwell, we ask that you please stay home.
- We have a class minimum of 3 students, so it’s never a bad idea to sign up with a friend or two! If you are the only student that signs up for one of our classes, we will contact you ahead of time and issue a full refund if there is a cancellation on our part.
- We understand that sometimes students need some extra help outside of class, so we offer Project Support and Private Lessons.
- For our students to get personalized attention, we like to keep our class sizes small. For this reason, we require students to sign up in advance for all of our classes, lessons, and project support sessions.
