The Snap by tincanknits is a stash buster like no other.
This squishy, textured, marled knit works up quickly and produces a beautifully colorful and wearable accessory that you’ll want to make a dozen times over for yourself and everyone you love!
What you need to know and be comfortable completing without help from the instructor (or you're willing to learn before this class): Knit, purl, knitting in the round, knitting in small circumference
What you'll learn in this class: How to knit a hat from bottom up, how to marl together your scrap yarns to achieve a consistent yarn weight
Required Materials:

Yarn: This pattern is meant to be a stash buster! The quantities are for several strands of fingering held together to hit gauge. Note: You're welcome to bring other scrap yarn up to a DK weight, and the class will cover how to choose yarns that go together to obtain consistent gauge!
- 240 to 480 yards TOTAL (split between all of your yarn scraps)
Recommended yarns from the shop include: Manos del Uruguay Alegria, Malabrigo Ultimate Sock, Cascade Heritage
Needles:
- US 7 16" circular needles
- US 10.5 16" circular needles and DPNs (or your preferred format for small circumference knitting)
Notions: tapestry needle, scissors, stitch markers
What you'll get:
- Three 2-hour class sessions with expert instruction by Theresa
- Snap pattern by tincanknits (PDF via email & in your Ravelry library)

Class Policies
- All class fees are non-refundable. If you have a conflict, you must notify us 7 days before the start date of your first class in order to receive store credit. We will always do our best to help you reschedule, but it may not always be possible.
- Our group classes and private lessons are designed for adults ages 18 and up.
- No store credit will be issued for unattended classes and no store credit will be issued for cancellations made within 7 days of the start date of the first class.
- We put the health and safety of all our staff and community members first. If you have been exposed to Covid or you are otherwise feeling unwell, we ask that you please stay home.
- We have a class minimum of 3 students, so it’s never a bad idea to sign up with a friend or two! If you are the only student that signs up for one of our classes, we will contact you ahead of time and issue a full refund if there is a cancellation on our part.
- We understand that sometimes students need some extra help outside of class, so we offer Project Support and Private Lessons.
- For our students to get personalized attention, we like to keep our class sizes small. For this reason, we require students to sign up in advance for all of our classes, lessons, and project support sessions.
