Learn to crochet a customizable, all-season cardigan!

FIVE Sundays from 2-4pm on the following dates: Sept 7th & 21st, Oct 5th & 19th, and Nov 2nd 

The Campfire Cardigan is a year-round staple!

This highly customizable cardigan is great in any weather, keeping you warm on a summer night or as an extra layer on a nippy spring morning.

The ingenious construction means that you’ll end up with something that fits you perfectly. This class will cover how to adjust the pattern sizing to ensure that you will love the fit of your cardigan!

What you need to know and be comfortable completing without help from the instructor (or you're willing to learn before this class): basic crochet skills, including  chaining and double crochet

What you'll learn: the granny stitch, hexagon cardigan construction, how to seam together crochet

Required Materials:

Yarn: This pattern requires four different colors of the same worsted/Aran weight yarn in varying quantities. Note: can be worked with alternate yarn weights - please consult with Carissa beforehand and this will change your hook size and yardage requirements!  

  • Color A: 525 to 700 yds 
  • Color B: 175 to 350 yds 
  • Color C: 350 to 525 yds 
  • Color D: 350 to 525 yds 

Recommended yarns from the shop: Juniper Moon Farm Santra Cruz Organic Merino, Juniper Moon Farm Cumulus, Malabrigo Chunky, Malabrigo Rios, Spincycle Dream State, Spincycle Plump, Mitchell Wool Co Ramboiullet Bulky, Juniper Moon Farm Fairy Floss

Hook: US L (8mm) crochet hook OR size appropriate for chosen yarn 

Notions: stitch markers, tapestry needle, scissors

Class Policies

  • All class fees are non-refundable. If you have a conflict, you must notify us 48 hours before the start date of your first class in order to receive store credit. We will always do our best to help you reschedule, but it may not always be possible.
  • Our group classes are for students ages 12 and up. Younger students are welcome to join us for private lessons. We highly recommend a parent or guardian be present for the duration of the lesson. 
  • No store credit will be issued for unattended classes and no store credit will be issued for cancellations made within 48 hours of the start date of the first class.
  • We put the health and safety of all our staff and community members first. If you have been exposed to Covid or you are otherwise feeling unwell, we ask that you please stay home.
  • We have a class minimum of 3 students, so it’s never a bad idea to sign up with a friend or two! If you are the only student that signs up for one of our classes, we will contact you ahead of time and issue a full refund if there is a cancellation on our part.
  • We understand that sometimes students need some extra help outside of class, so we offer Project Support and Private Lessons. 
  • For our students to get personalized attention, we like to keep our class sizes small. For this reason, we require students to sign up in advance for all of our classes, lessons, and project support sessions.
