Ever thought of tackling a mosaic crochet pattern but been intimidated by a seemingly difficult technique? Look no further! 

 

With Carissa's expert instruction, the Hyperfocus Cowl is an excellent first foray into mosaic crochet, a surprisingly simple technique that really pays off in effect. This seamless cowl can be worn in multiple ways, and would also make a lovely gift! 

 

What you need to know and be comfortable completing without help from the instructor (or you're willing to learn before this class): Basic crochet skills including chaining and double crochet 

What you'll learn in this class: How to mosaic crochet, how to read a crochet mosaic chart

Required Materials:

Yarn: This cowl requires 250 yds each of two worsted weight yarns

Recommended yarns from the shop: Studio Donegal Soft Donegal, Cascade 220, Noro Ito, Santa Cruz Organic Merino, Primo Worsted, Cascade Pure Alpaca & Eco Alpaca

Hook: US 7 (4.5 mm)

Notions: Tapestry needle, scissors

Class Policies

  • All class fees are non-refundable. If you have a conflict, you must notify us 48 hours before the start date of your first class in order to receive store credit. We will always do our best to help you reschedule, but it may not always be possible.
  • Our group classes are for students ages 12 and up. Younger students are welcome to join us for private lessons. We highly recommend a parent or guardian be present for the duration of the lesson. 
  • No store credit will be issued for unattended classes and no store credit will be issued for cancellations made within 48 hours of the start date of the first class.
  • We put the health and safety of all our staff and community members first. If you have been exposed to Covid or you are otherwise feeling unwell, we ask that you please stay home.
  • We have a class minimum of 3 students, so it’s never a bad idea to sign up with a friend or two! If you are the only student that signs up for one of our classes, we will contact you ahead of time and issue a full refund if there is a cancellation on our part.
  • We understand that sometimes students need some extra help outside of class, so we offer Project Support and Private Lessons. 
  • For our students to get personalized attention, we like to keep our class sizes small. For this reason, we require students to sign up in advance for all of our classes, lessons, and project support sessions.
