Mosaic Crochet Scorpio Cowl
Sundays for THREE sessions from 1:30-3:30pm: October 20 & 27, November 3rd
Level up your crochet skills with the Scorpio Cowl! This pattern combines double crochet and chain stitches in a technique called interlocking mosaic crochet. Using one color at a time, you’ll stitch a simple mesh pattern that weaves two layers together to create a unique fabric with a different pattern on each side!
What you need to know: Students must be comfortable with double crochet and chain stitches. No crochet beginners for this project, please!!
What you’ll learn: Interlocking mosaic crochet (2 colors)
Required Materials:
Yarn: 220 yds / 200 m main color (MC), and 170 yds / 155 m contrasting color (CC) of any DK weight yarn you can meet gauge with. (Pattern also suggests a skein of SpinCycle Dream State as a contrast color or you could use 2 skeins as the main color!)
Hooks: 4.0 mm hook or size needed to obtain gauge.
Notions: Tape measure, scissors, darning needle, 2 locking stitch markers.
