Knit an Intarsia Tiles Scarf
TWO Sundays from 2-4pm on the following dates: April 20th & 27th
Turn your adventurous beginner knitting skills into a bold and colorful Intarsia Tiles Scarf! This garter-stitch stole uses four shades of DK weight yarn and simple intarsia "twists" to create crisp, geometric designs.
As many of the shapes are quite simple with straight lines, beginners have time to work up to more rounded shapes to help build their intarsia muscles. Finally, knitters have the option to add an integrated hood to their scarf should they choose!

Required Materials:
This pattern is a great stash-buster that combines four shapes of a DK-weight yarn to create a garter-stitch intarsia fabric, with I-cord knitted as you go. We hope you’ll consider supporting us by purchasing your materials at Knit 1!
Yarn: 386g total of DK weight yarn in four colors:
Color A: 249 yds / 228 meters
Color B: 64 yds / 150 meters
Color C: 227 yds / 208 meters
Color D: 164 yds / 150 meters
Recommended yarns: Queensland Kathmandu DK, Mitchell Wool Rambouillet DK & Gather DK, Juniper Moon Herriot, The Fibre Co Acadia, Malabrigo Silky Merino, Arroyo & Rios, Spincycle Metamorphic, Manos del Uruguay Marla & Sami, Lamana Como.
Needles: US 6 (4.0 mm) knitting needle (we recommend a 24” circular to use for comfortable flat knitting)
Notions: Smooth scrap yarn for provisional cast-on, locking stitch marker
